Square
For this format I chose the one font in as many sizes as I see necessary restriction. I started off using a serif font called Jeanne Moderno, which I really liked for the large text, however it was a little too hard to read in a smaller size. I switched to a sans serif font called Eras medium, this is easier to read. I played around with the layout and rotation of everything to figure out what would look best.

Landscape
For this format I chose the two typefaces, each in two sizes restriction.
I started with an all caps, sans serif font called BalboaPlus. Again this worked well for my larger text but it made all of the text really harsh and hard to read properly. I changed it to a normal sans serif font called Bahnschrift, this is nicer to read and still creates enough contrast against my second font called neonoir. I played around with the layout and alignment of the text. I tried to create enough white space to contrast the amount of text. |
Portrait
For this format I chose the one typeface and it's related bold, in one size only restriction. I started with a sans serif font called Segoe, which I think is a nice font to read. I played around with the layout and the black to white contrast to be able to show hierarchy in the text. I also tried a serif font called Georgia to see if it better suited the text, I like both typefaces but I prefer the layouts I did using Georgia.
